What is 14% of $318.00?
I am staying at a hotel in jersey city, nj while visiting NYC June 26-29. The total for the 3 nights I will be there is $318.00 However, at the bottom of the page it says:
14% per night not included in rate effective 26 June, 2009 thru 29 June, 2009
7PCT STATE TAX, 6PCT CITY TAX, 1PCT OCCUPANCY TAX
how do I figure out how much they are going to charge me? I am purchasing it in advance. I just don't want to be charged a while lot when I check out of the hotel. Thanks for the help
318 * 0.14 = 44.52
318 + 44.52 = $362.52 total charged with tax
